All existing memberships expired on December 31, 2009. All persons wishing to renew their membership or to become members must submit a new membership application by Friday, January 29.

Posted on July 27, 2009 Community Help Centre in need of volunteer drivers Community Help Centre is in dire need of volunteer drivers for our Provide a Ride transportation program. Our program is designed to provide transportation to individuals in the community who have no other way to get to critical medical appointments and other human services appointments. Although drivers have the option to drive as far or as short of a distance as they prefer, our program is the only one in Centre County that is willing to transport clients to appointments outside of the county. Ten years ago, we had over 20 volunteer drivers, today we only have 8. Our driver pool has declined, but our client pool has not. This volunteer opportunity is excellent for retired individuals or anyone who has a little extra time to give to the community. Drivers must use their own vehicles but will be reimbursed for mileage.
